Anxiety Therapist in Spearfish, SD

Has your anxiety become so overwhelming that you feel consumed by it, rather than able to differentiate your true self from the cycle of “what ifs” and the rabbit hole of running through every possible scenario? Anxiety is often rooted in self-doubt, resulting in constant worry and overthinking, procrastination, negative self-talk, and avoidance.

I offer individual therapy to adults and teens in Spearfish, South Dakota and the surrounding area, working alongside you to gain a better understanding of your anxiety and find tangible tools that actually work for you.

My approach is rooted in helping you move from a place of self-doubt to being able to trust yourself. When you are able to trust in yourself even a little bit more, anxiety has less power over you.

Who I Work With

I work with adults and teens who may be:

  • Experiencing chronic anxiety or stress

  • Feeling overwhelmed or burnt out

  • Struggling with overthinking, feeling on-edge, or are constantly “waiting for the other shoe to drop”

  • Avoiding trying new things or activities/situations that used to bring them joy

  • Navigating life changes or transitioning into a new role in life (parenting, caregiving, school, etc.)

  • Wanting to learn tools for deeper self-understanding and emotional regulation

What To Expect

My approach to working with anxiety is trauma informed, person-centered, collaborative, and creative. I am committed to helping you find what works for you based on your individual experiences, which sometimes requires us to think outside the box.

I recognize anxiety from a holistic perspective, which means I will include mind, body, and spiritual considerations in our work together. If we ignore any one or more aspects of ourselves as a whole, we are not seeing the complete picture and will not achieve the growth and results that are possible.

You don’t have to learn how to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.
