At your first appointment, we will spend time talking about paperwork, informed consent, and the therapeutic process. This is where I will gather information about you and the concerns that bring you to therapy as we get to know each other and set goals for our sessions. You only share what you are comfortable with and we spend time developing a plan for moving forward that is collaborative and based on what you need. Treatment goals are always based on what you want to focus on, and I am here to help you figure out what that is and how we can work on it.

Therapy is a very individual process and the length of treatment depends on your concerns, how long you’ve been experiencing them, and the goals you set. Some people attend for a few months to work on short term goals, while others may spend more time addressing deeper or ongoing stressors. We will continuously assess this throughout the process to ensure the frequency and duration of our sessions are the most helpful for you.
